[k-9-mail] "Next poll" shows not minutes but a date some days back

Call for help or explanation!
I love K-9 and have been using it for a couple of months. *But since a few
days* the line "Next poll" does no longer show x minutes but a date which
is a already a few days back. Like today is 21. July and I get shown 14.
July

(K-9 Version 5.403, Huawei P9 lite, Android 7.0, Polling is set to 10
minutes and does as told)

Hello everybody!
Within the 3 weeks since my last posting here, the header line in my K-) is
like frozen and still reads *"Next poll 14 Juli"*.
Yes, Juli, probably because the initial installation used the system lange
as a default and I changed later?
And funny enough, after I returned K-9 to German language, it now reads "*NÀchster
Abruf July 14*", the date beeing in English now.

I wish I could somehow get back the original message line with "*Next poll
xx minutes*"!

As I am running backups for all my mail accounts and address book using
Thunderbird portable on a stick, I can afford to uninstall K-9 and will not
loose anything. Hopefully a cleanup of the system and new installation of
K-9 will solve my problem.
